Stage 4 - 15/03/2024 to 30/04/2024

Panama - Marquesas islands

This great journey that is sailing across the South Pacific is the longest of all planned in this round the world sailing in stages; about 4000 miles. the first port of call in the Marquesas Islands must be at the port of Atuona (Hiva Oa Island), where customs formalities must be completed.

Stage 5 - 01/05/2024 to 30/09/2024

Marquesas islands - Vanuatu

Polynesia stopovers

Once we land in the Marquesas Islands, after crossing the Pacific, from Panama, we will continue sailing, making the following stops:

 

French polynesia stopover: We will set sail on May 1, 2024 from the Marquesas Islands, once we have enjoyed its waters, culture and wonderful landscapes, heading to the archipelago of the Tuamotu Islands, where we will sail and anchor. From where we will go to Taihti (Papete), arriving on May 31, 2024, where we have the Faa'a international airport, to be able to make a stopover with a connection flight.

 

Samoa stopover: we will set sail on June 1, 2024 from Taihti (Papete), heading to Samoa, sailing and anchoring first through the Society Islands; Bora Bora and then the Cook Islands. We will arrive in Samoa on June 30, 2024, where we also have Faleolo International Airport, so we can make a stopover with a connection flight.

 

Tonga stopover: we will set sail on July 1, 2024 from Samoa, heading to Tonga, visiting the Friends Islands, which are part of Tonga. We will arrive on July 31, 2024 in Nukualofa, the capital of Tonga, located on the Island of Tongatapu, where we have the Fua'amotu international airport to be able to make a stopover with a connection flight.

 

Fiji stopover: we will set sail on August 1, 2024 from Tonga, heading to Fiji, where we will sail, anchor and visit this other incredible archipelago. We will arrive in Suva, the capital of Fiji, which is on the largest of the Viti Levu Islands on August 31, 2024 and, where Nadi International Airport is also located, to be able to make a stopover with a connection flight.

 

stopover Vanuatu : we will set sail on September 1, 2024 from Fiji, heading to Port Vila, in the Vanuatu archipelago, where we will sail and anchor. We will arrive in Port Vila on September 30, 2024, where Bauerfield International Airport is also located, to be able to make a stopover with a connection flight.

Stage 6 - 01/10/2024 to 31/10/2024

Vanuatu - Darwin (Australia)

LOOK AT THE STAGE ROUTE

This stage of the sailing circumnavigation consists of the 1,600-mile journey between Port Vila (Vanuatu) and Darwin (Australia), sailing through the Coral Sea, crossing the barrier reef and the famous Torres Strait. Probably, depending on the convenience of navigation and weather, intermediate calls can be made at Port Douglas and Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea.

Darwin - Bali

A crossing of about 1100 miles is required between Darwin (Australia) and Benoa (Bali) with SE-E winds. Taking advantage of the stay in Bali to get to know the island, the beaches, vegetation and interior geography and, above all, its Hindu culture.

Bali - Puket (Thailand)

The crossing consists of about 2100 nautical miles, provided for by the western route of Indonesia, sailing through the western Indian Ocean. With the objective of avoiding passing through the Straits of Malacca and the influence of the enormous maritime traffic that attracts Singapore and Southeast Asia. Phuket awaits the paradise of the beaches and coves of Thailand, as well as its culture.

Puket (Thailand) - Galle (Sri-Lanka)

This stage of the sailing circumnavigation is a journey of about 1100 miles, crossing the Bay of Bengal. Hindu and Buddhist religions predominate in Sri Lanka.

Stage 10 - 01/02/2025 to 28/02/2025

Galle (Sri lanka) - Maldivas

LOOK AT THE STAGE ROUTE

The crossing between Galle and Male (capital of Maldives) is relatively short, about 450 miles. Once the navigation and customs formalities are completed, only the best part of this stage remains, which is to enjoy the paradisiacal atolls, snorkelling and scuba diving; remember that at VENTUM we have two complete diving equipment and a compressor to recharge the diving bottles.

Stage 11 - 01/03/2025 to 21/03/2025

Maldivas - Red Sea (Yibuti)

LOOK AT THE STAGE ROUTE

The crossing from the Maldives to Djibouti covers about 2000 nautical miles. From the northern Indian Ocean, crossing the Arabian Sea, you reach the Gulf of Aden, from where you have to go to Djibouti. Given the time of year planned for the crossing, a pleasant route is expected with the NE monsoon.

Stage 12 - 22/03/2025 to 15/04/2025

Red Sea (Yibuti) - Suez

LOOK AT THE STAGE ROUTE

This stage of the sailing circumnavigation has a route of about 1,400 miles between Djibouti and Suez, where it will be necessary to choose whether the crew wants to approach the Gulf of Aqaba and visit Petra, as well as stop at Sharm el-Sheik for diving and enjoy the paradisiacal landscapes, before reaching Suez to create towards the Mediterranean.

Egypt - Turkey

LOOK AT THE STAGE ROUTE

The direct crossing is about 400 miles, however, depending on the prevailing winds, a detour along the east coast of Turkey may be necessary. Already at the destination we will take a route along the most attractive coast of Turkey, visiting Bodrum, Dalaman, Marmaris, Fethiye, Göcek, ... ) + the option chosen by the crew: visiting Istanbul.

Turkey - Greece

By means of short crossings, the groups of islands chosen by the crew and weather permitting will be visited. The Greek islands are part of several archipelagos: Cyclades, Dodecanese, Ionian, Sporades, islands of the North Aegean and those of the Saronic Gulf.
